CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching for Adults) is, as the title implies,
for teaching adult learners. DELTA (Diploma in English Language Teaching for Adults)
is similar to a CELTA, but is designed for teachers who already have at least 2 years
of English teaching experience under their belts and would like to further their
training.
TESOL (Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages) is designed to train you to
teach anyone to speak English…any age, and anywhere. TESOL
encompasses the range of the other certificates. An example: If you take the DELTA
course, you complete 420 hours (including study-time) for the diploma.
