Teach English in Vietnam
If you like to be “in on the ground floor” of a new enterprise, then teaching in Vietnam may be for you. Even though English has been taught in Vietnam for many years, only recently has English acquisition become a national priority. The result is that there is an abundance of work teaching English in Vietnam. The majority of the jobs are in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and Hanoi, but there are new schools springing up in smaller cities such as the ancient capital of Hue and the costal paradise Danang. Another aspect of this growing, booming business that is attractive to English teacher is the pay. Native English teachers can command salaries that are, by Vietnamese standards, downright luxurious. Experienced TESOL teachers are in demand as teacher trainers and directors of schools, so the future is very bright in Vietnam.
