We believe that personal and academic growth will flourish in a setting which nurtures trust and respect. At International Study Group, we require all members of the school community to act with integrity and responsibility in every aspect of their lives. We also believe that the transmission of knowledge, the encouragement of curiosity, the development of rational thought, and the cultivation of responsible, honorable behavior are the great ends of education.

In considering the needs of ESL Trainees and TESOL Trainees, we recognize that a school for teachers and students should be unique, in its own philosophy, purposes, organization, and facilities.  It should be able to recognize and deal with the challenges of living in a new culture, and to meet the needs of a population that is diverse in background, aspirations, developmental stages, and rates of growth.

Our instructional program provides students with opportunities to develop ESL / TESOL skills and to acquire the necessary knowledge to develop a positive self-image and to foster academic, social, and personal growth. We strive to provide a humanistic, student-centered approach to learning.

Our objectives are the following:

  • To provide a quality ESL/TESOL programs and a dedicated staff to the Trainees;
  • To provide students/future teachers with a high quality academic environment;
  • To recruit, develop and support a dedicated, competent and creative staff;
  • To prepare opportunities for each student/future teacher to achieve success in finding employment;
  • To provide adequate physical facilities, educational support technologies, curriculum management, and planning structures for teaching and learning;
  • To continue to improve student performance through student involvement in classroom activities.
